Aklan District Engineer Noel
Puentebella said the one-lane traffic will be used by all kinds of vehicles as early as 12:01 a.m. of September 15.
The road portion was closed on August 15 as repair works is ongoing due to occasional landslides and heavy rains.
Heavy and light vehicles heading
to and leaving Caticlan are allowed to pass through the national road along Barangay
Libertad, Nabas instead of the alternate route Aklan West Road Pandan-Libertad
Antique via Buruanga, Aklan.
The re-opening also eased the
woes of commuters and residents to transfer from one vehicle to another during
the repair works.
“Nabuhusan na ang kabilang
lane.
“May directional signs in
DPWH will install portable
weighing scale for trucks and trailers as part of routine road maintenance in
the province of Aklan.
stressed.
The agency expects to fully reopen
the Tulingon road portion before the end of September.
