The Ati-Atihan
festival organizer is now accepting new applicants for the coveted Mutya it
Kalibo Ati-Atihan 2019.
Pageant director Albert Meñez said 16 finalists will be vying for the crown and title in the 9th edition of Aklan’s prestigious pageant.
Pageant director Albert Meñez said 16 finalists will be vying for the crown and title in the 9th edition of Aklan’s prestigious pageant.
“This is the start of exciting journey of young women in Aklan for the once-a-lifetime opportunity of becoming the next Mutya,” said Meñez, also the chairperson of Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Foundation, Inc. (Kasafi).
Interested applicants must be Aklanon or studying in the province of Aklan, single or never been married or given birth, between 15 to 24 years old and with a minimum height of 5 feet and 4 inches.
The hopefuls should submit the application form, close up and full body photo shots, photocopy of birth certificate and parent’s consent for below 18 years old. Pageant applications are available at Kasafi office at Capt. Gil Mijares Building across Kalibo Pastrana Park.
Since 2011, the festival organizer hosted its one of the premiere Ati-Atihan events to encourage young women to reach their full potential.
It has produced the likes of Caren Braun, Ivyrose Vidal, May Adel Ahmed Salman, Rosalie Arcenio, Christian Abigail Seraspi, Michelle Lou dela Cruz and Nerie Jean David as Kalibo festival queens.
The reigning Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan Gracel Gilongos will crown her successor in a grand finale scheduled on January 11, 2019 at Gov. Augusto B. Legaspi Sports and Cultural Center in Kalibo, Aklan.
The prize packages for the Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan winners will be announced soon.
