The 35th Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) is an opportunity for member-consumers to know the major accomplishments and plans, financial, technical, institutional growth and audit operations of Aklan Electric Cooperative (Akelco).

National Electrification Administration (NEA) administrator Edgardo Masongsong will be gracing the assembly at Gov. Augusto B. Legaspi Sports and Cultural Center in Kalibo.

Aside from Masongsong, Akelco general manager Engr. Alexis Regalado and the electric cooperative’s board of directors headed by Wayne Malilay are also attending the assembly.

This year’s assembly will be focused on the theme “Akelco: Continuously Soaring High Amidst Challenges”.

Since 1972, the multi-awarded Class A+++ utility provider distributes electricity to households and establishments within the franchise area of Aklan, including Boracay Island and Pandan and Libertad  in Antique.

Akelco has partnered with power suppliers for the long-term power supply needs of cooperative. For the past years, it also enhanced its service efficiency and customer relations to provide better services as well as the upgrading and expansion of distribution system capacity.

Akelco also supports the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) funded by subsidy of the national government.
