Initial reports showed the typhoon left a hillside house destroyed when a landslide hit Barangay Yawan in Ibajay. A flood wall in Barangay Daja Sur in Banga was also damaged by the swelling Aklan River.

A bridge pathway in Barangay Guadalupe in Madalag was also reported damaged.

Nine persons, some of them were Arab, Chinese and Korean tourists, were also rescued due to big waves the other day in Boracay Island.

Disaster management officials in Kalibo, Aklan were also placed on red alert for pre-emptive evacuation in affected areas for sudden rise of flood waters from Aklan River.

Still, the local disaster councils have to submit their official reports to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) for consolidation.

No families or individuals were also reported evacuated in emergency shelters, the disaster council said.

In its 11am bulletin on Sunday morning, the weather bureau noted that Ineng is located 360 km northeast of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph and gustiness up to 170 kph.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the typhoon is expected to be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday.

Meanwhile, a tornado partially damaged two houses and affected two families of 13 individuals in Natividad, Tibiao, Antique at about 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Seven crew members of M/Bca “Alad Express-1” were also rescued due to bad weather off the waters between Sibale and Simara Islands in Romblon last Friday afternoon.
