A
15-year old pupil was apprehended by the local police in Nagustan, Nabas, Aklan
for illegal possession of marijuana.
Police
Chief Inspector Reynante Matillano, chief of Nabas police station, said 85 match
boxes containing dried marijuana leaves were confiscated on Monday evening.

“Ru sambilog na match box gin-tao it barangay captain nga nag-informed sa kapulisan ag
ang 84 match boxes idto namon narecover sa baeay it minor. Mga 7:55 pm Lunes
na adlaw kami naka adto sa Nagustan (The barangay captain who informed the police presented one match box and the remaining 84 match boxes recovered in the minor's house)” Matillano said in a phone interview.
The
mother, who has six children, said her son is being used by 'Francis' as delivery
boy or courier for his clients.
Iloy
reportedly stayed in the house of a certain “Edna” near the minor’s house in
Barangay Nagustan on August 15.
The
minor claimed he was innocent and has no knowledge that the match boxes had
marijuana leaves.
He
said ‘Francis’ promised him he will give a mobile phone and bicycle if he could deliver the
match boxes to his ‘clients’.
The
minor said he delivered 15 match boxes last week, which cost P250 per box.
“Bago

niya ang gallon it tubi (Before he returned to Davao last Friday because his wife is sick, he left us a water gallon)” he added.
Out
of curiosity, the minor discovered the marijuana leaves in the match boxes inside
the water gallon left by ‘Francis’.
He
informed his mother of his discovery, who then told the barangay officials of
Nagustan, Nabas, Aklan.
“Nagkilala

Matillano
said the minor is facing charges for violation of Section 11 of Article II of
Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of
2002.
