DTI’s ‘Diskwento Sales’ in Aklan offers discounted products

Three towns in the province of Aklan will hold ‘Diskwento Sales’ for basic and prime commodities at discounted prices especially as classes are set to begin in June. 

Up for sale this month are discounted products for the consuming public in the towns of Ibajay, Kalibo and Altavas, according to Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Aklan provincial director Engr. Diosdado Cadena.

The Diskwento Sales, a nationwide initiative of DTI in partnership with local government units and consumer organizations, is participated in by local dealers and distributors offering school and office supplies, agro-veterinary products, canned goods, bread, milk, sugar, noodles, coffee and other processed foods for at least 10 percent discount.

The first Diskwento Sales in Aklan will be held on May 25 at Julio Refol Sports Complex in Poblacion, Altavas, Aklan. 

On May 26, the consumers could buy their needs in the Diskwento caravan at Kalibo Magsaysay Park in Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan. 

On May 27, cheaper and quality commodities will be on sale at Ibajay Sports Complex in Poblacion, Ibajay, Aklan. 

The Diskwento Sales is open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the venues of three municipalities.
