Judiciary II, Aklan PNP, Bravo Media share lead, IBP-Aklan and Charlie Media in close contention for semis slots BY BOY RYAN B. ZABAL

KALIBO, Aklan – Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) repulsed the strong start of Judiciary I for a close 589-586 victory in the third day of the 2011 Vice Governor Gabrielle Calizo-Quimpo Aklan Media Bowling Cup at Q-Zone Bowling Center.

SPO3 Benny Jones Mendoza dominated his opponent Cris Gubatina in the anchor’s play with a whooping 163-123 win, to send the APPO to its third win in four outings.

PO3 James Bantique also outplayed Roderick Robillo, 151-124 while the three players of Judiciary I outscored their rivals – Judge Ronald Exmundo beat PO3 Johnny Alejaga 115-103, Marissa Peralta outpointed PO3 Darius Padilla 102-101 and Nicoaron Roldan blanked SPO2 Luzbella Isada, 112-71.

Judiciary II dealt the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Aklan its first loss in the tourney with a 580-542 victory in the second game.

Alvin Mindanao tallied 107 pinfalls, Greg Tanieza had 128, Danilo Yap scored 102, Judge Lollie Ureta-Villaruel contributed 117 and Ramon Manuel Felipe Mayor had 126 for Judiciary II.

Brian Calizo led the IBP-Aklan with 126 pinfalls, Niflem Meren had 118, Angela Dianne Alindato fired 103 pinfalls, Flosemer Chris Gubatina struck 102 and Giovanni Paul Gomez had 93.

Other results: Bravo Media maintained its winning run against Aklan Photographic Society, 487-465 and Charlie Media trounced Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan, 614-508.


Ronnie Billones of DyIN Bombo Radyo had 90 pinfalls, Rodel Lomibao of Bay Radio Kalibo toppled 141 pinfalls, Doddie Balairos (109) and Bretchel Rapio, both of RGMA DyRU Super Radyo, chipped in 109, for the leading Bravo Media.


Shiela Tamado led the Aklan Photographic Society with 117 pinfalls followed by Ramel Buncalan with 104, Joel Juliano registered 90 pinfalls, Paul John Mirto had 82 and Mark Leslie Laguna contributed 72 pinfalls.
