12 Chinese journalists to visit Boracay

BORACAY – The world famous resort island of Boracay plays host to a 12-man delegation from the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) of the People’s Republic of China on July 5 to 8.
KBP Aklan chapter chairman Augusto Tolentino told Panay News that “this visit will further improve the Boracay’s tourism industry and eventually open the market for Chinese tourists to our other tourist destinations in Aklan like Bakhawan Eco-Tourism Park in Kalibo, Bugna it Tangalan and Wild Wild River adventures of Libacao."
The delegation is headed by SARFT Deputy Director General for Broadcasting Supervision Department Qian Ren and Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Vice President for Television Alfredo Henares will visit ABS-CBN, DWNU-FM, Manila Broadcasting Company, Quest Broadcasting’s broadcast facilities and the Presidential Management Staff Office, said Tolentino, station manager of DyRG Budyong ng Kalibo.
This year’s visit by the Chinese journalists in the island is expected to promote the tourist spots in Aklan to the growing Chinese tourism market.
The twelve-man delegation includes Jiadi Zhu, SARFT project manager for International Cooperation Department; Andong Chai of China National Radio; Rui Pang, China Radio International project manager; Dawei Wang, Inner Mongolia Bureau of Radio, Film and Television deputy director-general; Bingzue Ji, Lioning Bureau of Radio, Film and Television assistant to the director-general; Tainxuan Tan, Guandong Radio Station deputy director and Qingsheng Fang, Personnel Division, Anhui Bureau of Radio, Film and Television director.
Other delegates are Zhihua Wang, researcher of Policy Analysis Division, Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China; Yongfu Chen, deputy director of Broadcasting Affairs Supervision Division of Fujian Bureau of Radio, Film and Television; Yi Zhang, deputy director of Science and Technology Division of Fujian Bureau of Radio, Film and Television and Qingwei Nian, researcher of Heilongjiang Bureau of Radio, Film and Television.
“The Chinese journalists are here in the country to observe the various broadcast facilities as well as to visit the unique places in Aklan,” Tolentino said.
The KBP national officers led by Henares, Project Officer Emmanuel Abalos and the SARFT delegation are expected to arrive in Caticlan airport on July 5 from Manila before they will proceed in the island of Boracay for a three-night stay and tour.
