Police
operatives rescued two minor girls while a ‘colorum’ tricycle driver was
apprehended in an entrapment operation in Kalibo, Aklan.
Teddy
Balondo, 26, resident of New Buswang, this town, allegedly received P4,000 marked
money from a certain ‘Ian’ as payment for the two minors.
The
police operation was conducted in a lodge in Barangay Old Buswang on December 17 at around 2 p.m.
“Itong
niya ako at ang mga kaibigang babae,” Balondo said.
The
suspect added he contacted the ‘minors’ from the town of Malinao and brought them to a lodge to meet ‘Ian’
and friends from Malay.
“Pagdating
pulis na naka-civilian,” he said after his arrest.
Balondo
is temporarily detained at Kalibo municipal police station lock-up cell. The
minors were also referred to Women and Children Protection Desk.
“Pag
natin ang komisyon,” the suspect admitted.
The suspect will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 as amended.
