The Department of Tourism (DoT) has accredited more resorts and hotels
to operate on October 26 for the Boracay re-opening.

On October 12, the agency announced 43 more establishments will operate
after complying the requirements of the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force. Last
month, DoT released the initial list of 25 compliant accommodation
establishments.
The new list of accredited establishments also increased the number of
available rooms from 2,063 to 3,519 for local and foreign tourists who will
stay and visit the island starting October 26. Of the three barangays,
Balabag has the most number of compliant establishments with 49 followed by
Manoc-Manoc with 16 and Yapak with three.
The compliant Boracay establishments and the number of their rooms
available are 357 Resort (10), 7 Stones Boracay Suites (31), Alice in
Wonderland Beach Hotel (21), Astoria Current Resort (205), Azalea Hotels and
Residences (284), Best Western Boracay Tropics (64), Blue Coral Resort (5),
Boracay Haven Resort (63), Boracay Haven Suites (82), Boracay Holiday Resort
(69), Boracay Mandarin Island Hotel (52), Boracay Travelodge Beach Resort (40),
Boracay White Coral (5), Calypso Resort Hotel (22) and Canyon de Boracay (31).

Breeze (7), Paradise Garden Resort Hotel and Convention Center (463), Pinjalo

Hey Jude South Beach (19), Hue Hotel Luana Hotel (127), Hotel Soffia (58), Isla

A research study of Department of Environment and Natural Resources
(DENR) revealed that 19,000 tourists at any given time will be allowed to stay
in Boracay once it re-opens on October 26.
The tourist-capping will help preserve the pristine beauty and
environment of Boracay Island, which was voted as Top 3 Best Islands in Asia by
travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers Choice Awards for 2018.
