On February 24, free enrolment orientation will be conducted by Philippine Nippon Technical College (PNTC) for qualified applicants who will undergo Japanese language and skills training in Laguna before they are directly hired for work in Japan.

Instructors of Philippine Nippon Technical College (PNTC) based in Barangay Barandal, Calamba, Laguna will train the applicants in industrial courses such as shielded metal arc welding, machining, plate and gas metal welding, heavy equipment operation (forklift) electronics and electrical, automotive body painting/finishing and consumer electronics servicing to be part of Japan’s workforce.

Interested male applicants, who are at least high school graduate, and female job seekers, who are either vocational graduate or four-year course graduate, must be 19 to 26 years old and have no tattoo to qualify.

Applicants are also encouraged to bring original and photocopies of National Statistics Office (NSO) birth certificate, school documents and government identification cards during the orientation at the Kalibo Municipal Hall.

PNTC offers “Study Now Pay Later Program” or no admission fee and free dormitory while in training or study for a minimum of 10 months for industrial courses.

PESO Kalibo manager Efren Trinidad stressed the qualified applicants will have the opportunity to work in Japan companies once they passed the Japanese language training and skills development program in PNTC Laguna campus and main office.

The training center, established in 2004, is accredited by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to offer registered programs and short courses.

PNTC also sent more than 9,000 graduates in affiliated Japanese companies since August 2005.  For February alone, at least 185 graduates went to Japan for work.
