BY BOY RYAN B. ZABAL

A suspect in the arson and frustrated murder cases in Malinao, Aklan who went into hiding for more than four years was arrested in  Parañaque City on August 20.

Allan Atienza Inson, 33, native of Barangay Manhanip, Malinao, Aklan was collared by the Malinao police operatives in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City at around 5:30 p.m. on the strength of two arrest warrants.

Police Inspector Mark Ryan Panadero, Malinao town police chief, said Inson is also listed No. 6 top most wanted person in Malinao, Aklan.

Inson was placed under surveillance for several hours on Thursday by the three police officers of Malinao led by Panadero upon coordination with the  Parañaque  authorities.

Acting on a tip that Inson had a firearm, the police officers chose to wait for hours outside the suspect’s rented house before they arrested him.

“Pag-guwa ni Inson, nag-adto imaw sa pihak nga baeay it anang amigo. Pagbalik niya sa andang baeay, gin aresto imaw it atong kapulisan tag gabukas imaw it andang purtahan,” said Panadero.

The suspect did not resist arrest when Police Officer 3 Jerold Isuga and Police Officer 3 Eric Deocampo served the warrants of arrest.

Inson was arrested by virtue of two warrants issued by Judge Ronald Exmundo on August 12, 2011 for arson and for frustrated murder issued by Judge Marietta Valencia on October 7, 2011 of the Regional Trial Courts in Kalibo, Aklan.

Inson went into hiding in Metro Manila after learning arrest warrants were issued to him in 2011 and for fear that he will be arrested by the police in Aklan.

Prior to his arrest, Inson and his wife have a sari-sari store business in their rented house.

The suspect is now temporarily detained at  Parañaque City police station pending his turn-over to the issuing courts in Aklan.
