Rodelyn Panadero, Statistician

will cover 327 barangays for the 17 municipalities. A total of 512 enumerators,
134 team supervisors and 33 census area supervisors will also conduct the

“August 1, 2015 will be the reference date

2015 and may extend to the first week of September until the area will be
finished by the assigned enumerator,” Panadero said.
Aklan province has a population of 535,725 as

followed by Malay, Ibajay, New Washington and Banga. The least populated municipality
was Lezo.
Last May 12, the Provincial Census
Coordinating Board (PCCB) led by Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores and vice
chairman Aklan Division Schools Superintendent Dr. Jesse Gomez convened to ensure
the successful conduct of the census, provide transportation, venues and
facilities for the trainings of census personnel, temporary office and information
dissemination.
Trainings for enumerators,
managers and supervisors in the municipalities are conducted before deployment in
the field for data gathering and enumeration.
The nationwide census will gather basic date on age, educational

Philippine Statistics Act of 2013. PopCen 2015 will be the 14th
census of population to be undertaken since the first census in 1903.
