Pavia, Iloilo wanted murder suspect nabbed in Aklan

The murder suspect, who is wanted by authorities in Pavia, Iloilo, was arrested during a police operation Thursday morning in Kalibo Aklan.

Dextron Pajadan Arca, 36, native of Barangay Ungka 2, Pavia, Iloilo is listed No. 1 Municipal Most Wanted Person in Pavia, Iloilo. 

The apprehending team from Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Branch and Pavia police station in coordination with the Aklan Provincial Safety Company, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Aklan nabbed the suspect in New Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan.

Suspect was arrested based on the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Edgardo Catilo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 23 in Iloilo City on September 24, 2014 for murder under Criminal Case 14-74702.

“May nagtawag sa akon tag ari kami ni misis kag ang bata ko sa hotel na may mapa-obra sang tiles sa New Buswang. Pagkadto ko didto sa Buswang kaina, ara na ang mga pulis, may warrant of arrest sa akun,” the suspect said after the arrest.

Arca temporarily stayed in Magdalena Village Extension in New Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan where he was arrested by the operatives at around 7:15 a.m. Thursday.

“Nag-obra ku da dati sa isa ka hotel sa Buswang tag nalagyo ku sa Pavia (Iloilo),” he said.

Prior to the arrest, the suspect’s wife and their three-year old son were in Kalibo the other day and they rented a room in a local hotel in Barangay Poblacion.

Arca did not resist the arrest when police officers collared him. Later, the suspect was brought and detained to Kalibo police station.

“Mga Mayo 4 sang nag-ligad na tuid, may gintiro siya nga 52-year old na lalaki, neighbor namun sa Pavia. Naimpeto siya kay may mga bata ga-pangawat sa amun tiyangge didto,” Arca’s wife in an interview.

Hours after the arrest, Arca was turned over to the Pavia police.

No bail bond was recommended for his liberty, the police said.
