Parties and merrymaking could wait once Good
Friday is over in Boracay Island.
Bars, hotels and restaurants are totally
disallowed to make any form of loud noise and partying from 6 a.m. of Good
Friday until 6 a.m. of Black Saturday.

The local government of Malay also does not
issue event permits to establishments for Good Friday, which is a Christian religious holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.
Holy Week is a time for thanksgiving and
meditation for Christians and participating in church activities.
Police officers from Boracay Tourist
Assistance Center (BTAC) will conduct routine inspection of the establishments
violating the ‘no noise, no party’ policy during the observance of Good Friday.
Policemen in the island are also on alert to
ensure security of tourists and residents during the Holy Week holidays.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Red Cross
Boracay-Malay Chapter would be on hand to provide first assistance to travelers
in Boracay.
Red Cross volunteers will be deployed also in
first aid stations to assist visitors in cases of emergencies.
