Operatives of Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) arrested a suspected drug pusher in Numancia, Aklan on Monday evening.

Senior Inspector Bernard Ufano, chief of Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (PAIDSOTG), identified the suspect as 47-year old Reynaldo Glory of Puis, New Washington, Aklan.

PAIDSOTG and Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) operatives in coordination with Numancia police nabbed the suspect at around 8:15 p.m. in a lodging house in Laguinbanua, Numancia, Aklan in a buy-bust operation.

A poseur buyer handed to Glory a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000 including the marked money prior to his arrest.

Ufano said the suspect also yielded an estimated six grams of suspected shabu with approximate street value of P70,000.

“Isa itong big fish na pusher naga-operate sa New Washington and Kalibo, mga biktima niya mga estudyante,” the police added.

The suspected drug pusher got his main supply in Manila and sold the sachets of shabu to students in the towns of Kalibo and New Washington.

Based on their surveillance, Glory had disposed the suspected drugs mostly to students before the buy-bust operation.

Also recovered from Glory was his mobile phone containing text messages of drug transactions and cash money.

The suspect will be facing charges for violations of Section 5 and 11 for selling and possession of illegal drugs under Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Acts of 2002.
