Operatives
of Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) arrested a suspected drug pusher in
Numancia, Aklan on Monday evening.
Senior
Inspector Bernard Ufano, chief of Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation
Task Group (PAIDSOTG), identified the suspect as 47-year old Reynaldo Glory of
Puis, New Washington, Aklan.
PAIDSOTG
and Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) operatives in coordination with
Numancia police nabbed the suspect at around 8:15 p.m. in a lodging house in Laguinbanua,
Numancia, Aklan in a buy-bust operation.
A
poseur buyer handed to Glory a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000
including the marked money prior to his arrest.
Ufano
said the suspect also yielded an estimated six grams of suspected shabu with approximate
street value of P70,000.
“Isa
itong big fish na pusher naga-operate sa New Washington and Kalibo, mga biktima
niya mga estudyante,” the police added.
The
suspected drug pusher got his main supply in Manila and sold the sachets of
shabu to students in the towns of Kalibo and New Washington.
Based
on their surveillance, Glory had disposed the suspected drugs mostly to
students before the buy-bust operation.
Also
recovered from Glory was his mobile phone containing text messages of drug
transactions and cash money.
The
suspect will be facing charges for violations of Section 5 and 11 for selling
and possession of illegal drugs under Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise known as
Comprehensive Dangerous Acts of 2002.
