Echoes From
BY JOHNNY DAYANG
The current 2014 National Fund Campaign of the Boy Scouts
of the Philippines (BSP) is aptly dubbed as “an investment for our youth.” Indeed, scouting provides our youth basic training and
values so essential for good citizenship.
It imbues scouts with higher values,
attitudes and principles that every citizen, especially those in the position
of wealth must support.

of the National Campaign Committee headed by Ireneo C. Aquino, chairman;Wendel
Avisado, SVP and Acting Secretary – General;and Vice President Jejomar Binay,

My stint as BSP Aklan provincial council head a few
decades ago was a rewarding experience in youth character building. I hope my
colleagues in the community press will extend all possible support to the scouting
movement.
