Joint
elements of Aklan Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group
(PAIDSOTG) and Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) arrested two pushers in
separate buy bust operations in Boracay Island.
BTAC
investigator Police Officer 2 Lovely Joy Raut-Raut identified the suspect as Joebert
Trompeta, 32, native of Sara, Iloilo and temporary staying at Bliss Site in
Kalibo, Aklan.
He
was arrested after he agreed to sell the suspected shabu worth P1,000 to a
policeman who acted as poseur-buyer at around 6 p.m. Sunday evening in Barangay
Manoc-Manoc here.
The
operatives also seized upon his arrest six more sachets containing suspected shabu.
Trompeta
reportedly gets his supply in Kalibo, Aklan.
In
a separate operation, Ramon Baculinao, 36, of Dao, Capiz and staying at Sitio
Tulubhan in Barangay Manoc-Manoc was apprehended in a buy-bust operation last
week.
A
poseur-buyer handed to him P1,000 marked money in exchange of a sachet of
suspected shabu. Also recovered from the suspect were three small-heated
transparent sachets of shabu and a mobile phone containing text messages on
illegal drug transactions.
Both
suspects were facing charges of Section 5 (sale of illegal drugs) and Section
11 (possession of illegal drugs) of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive
Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
