Joint elements of Aklan Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (PAIDSOTG) and Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) arrested two pushers in separate buy bust operations in Boracay Island.

BTAC investigator Police Officer 2 Lovely Joy Raut-Raut identified the suspect as Joebert Trompeta, 32, native of Sara, Iloilo and temporary staying at Bliss Site in Kalibo, Aklan.

He was arrested after he agreed to sell the suspected shabu worth P1,000 to a policeman who acted as poseur-buyer at around 6 p.m. Sunday evening in Barangay Manoc-Manoc here.

The operatives also seized upon his arrest six more sachets containing suspected shabu.

Trompeta reportedly gets his supply in Kalibo, Aklan.

In a separate operation, Ramon Baculinao, 36, of Dao, Capiz and staying at Sitio Tulubhan in Barangay Manoc-Manoc was apprehended in a buy-bust operation last week.

A poseur-buyer handed to him P1,000 marked money in exchange of a sachet of suspected shabu. Also recovered from the suspect were three small-heated transparent sachets of shabu and a mobile phone containing text messages on illegal drug transactions.

Both suspects were facing charges of Section 5 (sale of illegal drugs) and Section 11 (possession of illegal drugs) of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
