BY BOY RYAN B. ZABAL

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)-Iloilo has announced the schedule of its “On-The-Road Program” in Aklan this April.

PRC regional director Lily Ann Baldago said the agency will offer services such as acceptance of applications of licensure examination and initial registration for professional teachers and other professionals and renewal of Professional Identification Cards (PIC).

The schedule is on April 22, 23 and 24 at the local Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) office at L. Barrios Street in Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan.

Speaking to Barangay 92.9 Super Radyo Kalibo, Baldago said the examinees and applicants will no longer need to go in PRC-Iloilo to process their papers.

“Ang PRC ‘On-The-Road’ is part of the services ng agency namin. Kami ay pumupunta sa mga locations na malapit sa workplaces ng mga stakeholders, ng mga kliyente namin,” she said.

“Tatlong araw sa Aklan sa pagtanggap ng aplikasyon sa licensure examination sa teachers at iba pang propesyon, sa mga repeaters. Tatanggap din kami ng application for renewal of expiring Professional Identification Cards within one year.”

Baldago said “the applicant could claim the renewed Professional Identification Cards at the mobile outreach service in Aklan. This is the commitment of PRC under chairperson Teresita Manansala and President Benigno Simeon Aquino III to expedite the needs of professionals.”

The regional director also stressed that PRC will be conducting pilot testing of its printing of Professional Identification Cards in Roxas City this week. Once implemented, applicants in Aklan and nearby provinces will be able to claim their IDs on April 22 to 24.

PRC-Iloilo has scheduled ‘On-The-Road Program’ at the Provincial Capitol Building in Roxas City, Capiz from April 14 to 15.

“There will no collection of fees sa PRC ‘On-The-Road’ program sa Aklan. Mga 400 applicants ang maserved natin araw-araw itong program,” Baldago added.
