Aklan exhibitors will bring their high-quality products to the weeklong Aklan
Piña and
Fiber Festival, one of the highlights of the province’s 58th founding anniversary.
The event brings to the forefront the exquisite craftsmanship,
ingenuity and innovative designs of of Aklan's micro, small and medium enterprises.
Buyers and merchandisers from PhilExport and Philippine
Chamber of Handicraft Industries will visit the trade fair and buy the export
products, which will be on display from April 22 to 27 at The Trade Hall at
Provincial Capitol grounds.
Product offerings of 57 exhibitors include fashion and
decorative accessories, processed foods, handcrafted products, furniture and
home décor, piña and abaca wearables, and many more.
The exhibitors target P6.8 million in this year’s showcase of local products
in Aklan Piña and Fiber
Festival.
The fiber fest, touted as the biggest showcase of Aklanon products, is organized by
the provincial government of Aklan, Department of Trade and Industry
(DTI) and Hugod Aklanon Producers Association, Inc.
It is supported by PhilExport-Aklan, Aklan Piña and
Indigenous Fiber Manufacturers and Traders Association, Inc. and PhilFIDA.
The trade fair also provides opportunities for the thriving exhibitors to sell products
in the domestic market and eventually make way in the global marketplace.
To attract buyers, DTI-Aklan has invited Balikbayan Handicraft, Philippine Chamber of Handicraft
Industries(PCHI), Island Accents, Precious Moments Collectors Club, CLC Kubo Corporation-Boracay,
Boracay Foundation, Inc. (BFI), Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc.
(PhilExport), Christmas Décor Producers and Exporters Association of the
Philippines (CDPEAP) and the Boracay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).
