Police nabbed three drug suspects in separate buy bust operations in Boracay Island last Wednesday.

Two of those suspects are employed as disk jockey in a popular bar and a massage therapist.

Ten sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride popularly known as shabu were confiscated from a massage therapist following a buy bust operation.

Police identified the suspect as 56-year old Soledad Natural of Pasig City.

She was arrested in Sitio Bantud in Barangay Manoc-Manoc by joint operatives of Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) and Aklan Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSOTG).

In another sting operation in Barangay Balabag last Wednesday morning, police confiscated 26 sachets of suspected marijuana and 1.260 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves from 39-year old Michael David Perez Colantes of Las Pinas City, Metro Manila.

The suspect was immediately arrested after he handed over a small pack of marijuana to poseur-buyer.

Police also arrested Colantes’ girlfriend, Noemay Parreno of Iloilo City.

Collantes had been under surveillance for several weeks for his alleged illegal drug trade, the police said.

The three suspects are facing charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police Officer 3 Christopher Mendoza, BTAC police community relations officer, said “Boracay PNP and Aklan PAIDSOTG scored in their anti-illegal drugs campaign for the first three months this year with 21 suspects apprehended.”
