Up to 17 young candidates
will compete in this year’s Miss Pacto de Sangre International crown on
February 24 in New Washington, Aklan.
The official candidates
are Roxette Regalado, Donna Jane Aroskin, Justine Micca Justiniane, Marie
Angela Andrade, Ivy Charresse Vega, Irene Fe Saren, Jeanny Lee Manalaysay,
Shenna Ellica Retiro, Kriztal Kaye Tupas and Joanna Carla Taladtad.
Other candidates are
Johanna Marie Germentil, Gleanne Insecto, Suzzane Clair Cedillo, Clariewyn
Crisostomo, Emmanuel Alejsa Martinez, Rovie Ann Teodosio and Febe Glaikka
Albisor.
The pageant is sponsored
by the municipal government of New Washington, Aklan and Pacto de Sangre
Management Board in partnership with Glorious J Café and Dyosa Negra Events
Planner.
The crown hopefuls will
compete for Best in Production Number, Miss Congeniality, Best in Swimsuit,
Miss Photogenic, Best in Evening Gown and Top Model awards.
The event starts at 7 p.m.
at New Washington Auditorium and Sports Complex on February 24. Ticket prices
at P40.
The coronation night of
the grand winners will be on March 2 at New Washington Auditorium and Sports Complex in celebration of the municipal fiesta
commemorating the heroes of Pacto de Sangre.
Pacto de Sangre, a Spanish
term for blood compact symbolized the revolt of Katipuneros against the Spanish
authorities, which happened at Sitio Kuntang, Ochando, New Washington on March
3, 1897.
