The
Philippine National Police (PNP) has designated newly promoted Senior
Superintendent Samuel Camarista Nacion as provincial director of Aklan Police
Provincial Office (APPO).
Nacion
is a member of Philippine National Police Academy Tagapagpatupad Class 1992.
At the helm of the province's police command, he will exercise full leadership to the 753-strong police force in 17 municipal stations and the Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) in Boracay Island.

Before
his assignment in Aklan, Nacion headed the Regional Operations and Plans
Division of the Police Regional Office (PRO-6) headquarters. He was promoted to
Senior Superintendent effective January 22, 2014.
He
was also the former acting officer-in-charge of APPO in 2011 and was appointed
as chief of police of BTAC.
Last
Wednesday, the new provincial director replaced acting APPO officer-in-charge
Superintendent Jomil John Trio, who will be reassigned as deputy provincial
director for administration of Aklan provincial command.
Trio
replaced Senior Superintendent Pedrito Escarilla last year.
