The Philippine National Police (PNP) has designated newly promoted Senior Superintendent Samuel Camarista Nacion as provincial director of Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO).

Nacion is a member of Philippine National Police Academy Tagapagpatupad Class 1992.

At the helm of the province's police command, he will exercise full leadership  to the 753-strong police force in 17 municipal stations and the Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) in Boracay Island.

Before his assignment in Aklan, Nacion headed the Regional Operations and Plans Division of the Police Regional Office (PRO-6) headquarters. He was promoted to Senior Superintendent effective January 22, 2014.

He was also the former acting officer-in-charge of APPO in 2011 and was appointed as chief of police of BTAC.

Last Wednesday, the new provincial director replaced acting APPO officer-in-charge Superintendent Jomil John Trio, who will be reassigned as deputy provincial director for administration of Aklan provincial command.

Trio replaced Senior Superintendent Pedrito Escarilla last year.
