Wala na iba balita sa Aklan?...I am an Aklanon and interested to know new information or news from our province. But it seems that there is no other news in Aklan except news bulletin about Boracay! Why concentrate on Boracay considering that it failed to uplift the economic condition of ordinary Aklanons. Before the so called “Boracay Boom” in the 60’s, only about 20 percent of total population of Aklan was poor. Today, Aklan have more than doubled this number. And also regarded as to be the poorest province in Western Visayas! This is the report released by the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) as contained in its 2009 Official Poverty Statistics. Ano ro nabulig it Boracay sa mga Aklanon? Apparently, corrupt Aklan officials priorities are in the wrong direction.
ReplyDeleteThis will masked the corruption by the provincial government of Aklan, to give out positive news from Boracay. They claimed (officials from Aklan) that Boracay is the number 1 and top tourist destination in the country. I doubt about the credibility of the news ( I really doubt about it).I've thought sometimes that positive news means a negative news in the real world. The GOVERNOR OF AKLAN when he heard about the news from the National Statistics office that Aklan was among the Poorest province in Region 6 (Broadcast over DYRU Aklan), He was like "Is that True?" "How they have come up with that Survey?". As far as what I've understand about what He meant was that Aklanons cannot read and understand the survey that's why it turned out negative. Calling all Aklanons to act now before it's too late! Aklan officials are not doing their assigned jobs as a servant of the People of Aklan. Poverty continues to rise in Aklan and more and more Aklanons will be put to hunger if We won't stop this rediculous evil doings of Aklan officials!
ReplyDeleteWell said, amigo! the governor thought that Aklanons are bunch of idiots and ignoramuses..problema eang madali ro mabakae anda nga boto..he..he..he..Bugtaw eon Aklan!!
ReplyDeleteNow, Aklan is at the bottom rung of six provinces in Region 6 even surpassed by young province of Guimaras. What a disappointment! It is hard to believe how things turned upside down impacting the lives of half of the total Aklan population. "Saan ako nagkamali" is an old Filipino ballad that resonates with pain and remorse.
ReplyDeleteAll i want to hear is a news that the government of Aklan is Helping this poor Aklanon. Give them a hand to stand up and have a descent living. Aklan officials priorities the poor people of Aklan not your Bank Account hey...
