KALIBO, Aklan - Volunteer members of Kiwanis Club of Kalibo, Inc. is embarking on a fun weekend as they celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the club on Sunday.
A series of special activities have been lined up to highlight the club’s more than three decades of service to children and their communities, according to president Edwin Muzones.
Among the planned activities Kiwanians can anticipate will be the gift giving of toys, coloring books and fruits to sick children at Dr. Rafael S. Tumbokon Memorial Hospital, a 32nd lunch anniversary program at St.Peter Beach and Cottages in Camanci Norte, Numancia, Aklan in which the club will recognize local Kiwanians for their outstanding service, a motorcade, videoke challenge and holy mass at St. Jude Thaddeus Church.
During the past 30 years, Kiwanis Club of Kalibo, Inc. provides countless free medical and dental missions, feeding program, operation tule in the barangays of Aklan in keeping its mandate to change the world one child and one community at a time.
The club founded in 1979, with more than 50 active members, has evolved into one of the oldest community clubs in the Division 2-B of the Philippine South District.
Kiwanis is a service organization comprised of caring men and women from all walks of life.
