Sports Unlimited : Final Boracay bound party

Boracay, one of the planet’s favorite summer destinations, always makes sure that it has something old and new exciting things to offer. From relaxation to extreme and everything in between, Boracay has always played host to the best summer adventures.

This year, Sports Unlimited is not only there to experience the sizzling season but to also bid goodbye to Boracay’s longest summer adventure party series-- Boracay Bound.

Now on its final year, Boracay Bound wrapped up its 10 crazy years with “X.”

“X” as in extreme, explosive and exciting competition.

Marc, celebrities and Boracay guests made sure that they’re there to experience Boracay Bound’s “X” one last time, with one big exclamation point

The participants were first divided into 7 teams before they learned about the mechanics of the game. The obstacles sounded simple. But only the top 4 teams with the fastest time will go through the finals. Each team not only aimed to be fast, but they also prepared hard to beat all other teams.

Our Sports Unlimited guy Marc and former Amazing Race partner Rovilson were both expected to go head to head in this competition. They always have their game faces on, even when they’re not team mates.

First part of the obstacles is that the team must work together to soak the papers masked on two of their members. Then, the pair must crawl on the sand, pass through a web and bring the ball to the waters.

The hardest task is climbing the towering iceberg. Most of the participants had a hard time scrambling up the inflatable! Some opted not to climb the iceberg and just face the time penalty while others put their teamwork into play.

Beauty queen and model Maggie Wilson reached the top but was unsuccessful with her dive! Maggie’s team mates came to the rescue but Team Globe’s time was already used up!

After sliding down the top of the iceberg, members must go over and under the inflatable court, then head back to the beach. For their final task, members must find the Yahoo station, upgrade their accounts and cheer as one team.

It was moment of suspense before the organizers announced the 4 teams with the fastest time-- Seair-Tides, Yahoo, Rayban and San Mig. The top 2 teams had to compete 2 more games for the final day of Boracay Bound.

First was the volleyball game. All the teams played it tough on the sand. Marc led his team to score more spikes but everybody was just as competitive.

Next game was ultimate Frisbee. Our Sports Unlimited guy’s serious! His team has to win this game in order to have more points for the crown. Marc’s team was already losing but Marc and teammate Danielle noticed a bad call, giving them another chance to score!

The points were finally announced. Rovilson’s team was placed first while Marc’s team was third. But before the champs were announced, they all had to complete one more task-- a fashion show!

Before the partying began, the top four teams first had to give their final showdown on the catwalk. All the teams prepared hard for the fashion show, complete with props and their best struts.

Marc’s team had to score the most number of points in order to secure a sure win! Knowing Marc and his competitive attitude, he’ll shock everybody just to win the game. True to everybody’s predictions, Team Seair-Tides’ performance wowed the crowd. Marc gave his winning strut, in his sexy bikini!

The judges were all unanimous in their decision. Marc not only had the best swimsuit, but Marc’s team deserved the win.

Boracay Bound definitely rolled the craziest, most exciting and wildest races and parties in its ten years of existence! And now on its final journey, the participants made sure that they wrapped up the best times with a fitting partying finale.

Boracay Bound may be over but the best memories will always be remembered. As they say, “Boracay bonds in Boracay Bound are never broken!”
