KALIBO, Aklan - Judiciary I hammered the day’s most exciting win so far, 590-583 over Charlie Media at the start of the 2011 Vice Governor Gabrielle Calizo-Quimpo Aklan Media Bowling Cup at Q-Zone Bowling Center.
Cris Gubatina of Judiciary I exploded with 143, Nicoaron Roldan added 125, Efren Galvan tallied 120, Marissa Peralta closed out 110 and George Wendell Villanueva wound up 92 pins.
Ronnel Irodestan of DyYM CBIS Hot FM Katribu torched the lanes with a game-high 167 for the 2010 second-runner-up Charlie Media.
Marlon Salvador of Kalibo Cable Television Network contributed 131 pinfalls, Arnel Relampago of Love Radio Kalibo chipped in 117, Lucy Villaruel of IBC DyRG Budyong scored 99 and Apolonio Zaraspe III of Bay Radio Kalibo struggled with 69 pins.
Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) led by PO2 James Bantique also clobbered Aklan Photographic Society (APS), 552-471, in the opening day of the nine team single-round robin tournament from April 9 to 16.
Bantique hauled 135 pins, P03 Darius Padilla had 124 pins, SPO4 Benny Jones Mendoza came way with 109, Insp. Renante Matillano finished with 103 pins and SP02 Luzbella Isada registered 81.
Paul John Mirto led the attack of APS against APPO with 114 pinfalls, Joel Juliano had 104, Mark Leslie Laguna posted 88, Nolyn Yap had 78 followed by Arnie Mae Dangan with 77 pins.
Leading the way for IBP-Aklan were Brian Calizo with 135, Giovanni Paul and Niflem Meren scored 130 pins each, Flosemer Chris Gonzales tallied 117 and Shermaine Atienza dropped 106.
Bravo Media led by Brechyl Rapio and Doddie Balairos of RGMA DyRU Super Radyo combined for 221 pins, Edmar Reynaldo of Bay Radio Kalibo collected 94, Sharon Moises of DyYM CBIS Katribu Radio turned in 85 and Rodelio Lomibao of Bay Radio had 93.
Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) reigned supreme to register its second straight victory, 521-475, against Charlie Media.
P02 James Bantique rolled a game-best 131 while Arnel Relampago of Love Radio Kalibo led the Charlie Media with 106.
Defending champion Alpha Media showed too much class against Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan, 492-427.
Ron Bautista of DyYM CBIS Katribu Radio scored 124, Ramil Tirazona of RMN DyKR struck 120, Ronel Barrida of RGMA DyRU Super Radyo had 99, Jethro Laserna of Aklan Press Club registered 91 and Jhinkie Jane Balairos of Love Radio Kalibo tallied 78 pins.
Rey dela Pena had 117 pinfalls for Aklan SP, Michael Solanoy rolled 111 and Ely Alvarez chalked up 102 pinfalls.
Judiciary II also demolished Aklan SP, 503-475. Judge Lollie Ureta-Villaruel carded a game-high 147 for Judiciary II, Alvin Mindanao had 121, Greg Tanieza tallied 103 points and Ana May Conti had 92. Rey dela Pena led the Aklan SP with 132 followed by Michael Solanoy (104), SP member Selwyn Ibarreta (100) and Ely Alvarez (99).
