KALIBO, Aklan - The Philippine National Police (PNP) is ready to implement the traffic plan during the annual Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival from January 10 to 16.
The Traffic Division of the Kalibo Police Station released the advisory on alternative routes to be implemented starting January 11.

Nine community police assistance centers are also established in strategic areas to ensure the peaceful and orderly celebration of the Ati-Atihan festival.
Vehicles are advised of heavy traffic on major streets on January 11 at 2 p.m. for the Paghinugyaw it mga Barangay, January 12 at 2 p.m. for the Student Parade and January 13 at 8 a.m. for schools, colleges and universities street dancing.
The stretch of Mabini Street and Desposorio Maagma Sr. Street from Crossing Banga-New Washington to General Castillo Shrine are closed for traffic during the sadsad panaad of barangays, students and schools.
All tricycles, public utility vehicles, buses, motorists, trucks and private vehicles bound to Banga from northern towns using Roxas Avenue are to turn right to Toting Reyes Street through Osmena Avenue or turn left to Quezon Avenue for vehicles bound to Kalibo International Airport.
Vehicles from eastern Aklan intending to use the Osmena Avenue are to go straight Toting Reyes Street and turn left to Roxas Avenue going to Kalibo-Numancia bridge.
All tricycles, public utility vehicles, buses, motorists, trucks and private vehicles bound to Banga from northern towns using Roxas Avenue are to turn right to Toting Reyes Street through Osmena Avenue or turn left to Quezon Avenue for vehicles bound to Kalibo International Airport.
Vehicles from eastern Aklan intending to use the Osmena Avenue are to go straight Toting Reyes Street and turn left to Roxas Avenue going to Kalibo-Numancia bridge.
The stretch of Mabini Street and Desposorio Maagma Street will be opened to all vehicles on January 14 and 15, except on January 13 for the Higante contest and Aklan Festivals Parade and January 16 for the traditional religious procession.
All vehicles coming from Numancia for eastern-bound towns using Roxas Avenue are to turn right to Toting Reyes Street straight to Osmena Avenue. Those vehicles from Numancia to Kalibo International Airport intending to use the stretch of Roxas Avenue are to turn right to Toting Reyes Street and turn left to Quezon Avenue for Kalibo airport.
From Kalibo International Airport going to northern Aklan using Quezon Avenue are to turn right to Judge N. Martelino Street, turn left to Roxas Avenue straight to Kalibo-Numancia bridge.
Small vehicles using Quezon Avenue are to turn right to Calachuchi Road, left to Roxas Avenue, right to Toting Reyes Street and turn left to N. Roldan Street.
All vehicles from eastern towns to Numancia are advised to turn right to F. Quimpo Avenue, right to Quezon Avenue, left to Judge N. Martelino Street, left to Roxas Avenue straight to Kalibo-Numancia bridge. For small vehicles using Osmena Avenue, turn right to North Capitol Avenue, left to Fernandez Street through Calachuchi Road, turn left to Roxas Avenue, right to Toting Reyes Street, left to N. Roldan Street and right to Oyo Torong Street.
