Andrade is quadruple gold medalist

KALIBO, Aklan - Aklanon tracksters snatched more medals for Western Visayas highlighted by the 4 x 100 meter relay team gold finish in the medal-rich athletic events of the 53rd Palarong Pambansa in San Jose, Tarlac.
Celebrated trackster Allysa Marie Andrade, out of Dumaguit Elementary School, teamed up with fellow WV athletes - Mary Cris Tabiolo from Aklan, Kaye Deanne Ferrer and Mary Anthony Diesto of Negros Occidental to snatch her fourth gold with a time of 52.46 seconds in the 4 x 100 meter relay.
They beat Northern Mindanao - Dibbie Jane Daguplo, Apple Eve Nima, Christine Edquila and Shainakiete Lanacio (54.51) and National Capital Region (54.75).
With four golds she earned in athletics, Andrade also shattered the elementary girls' triple jump record with a leap of 10.80 meters. She was also crowned as long jump queen with a leap of 5.07 meters, erasing the 2000 record of 4.99 meters of Angeline Cobreros.
Andrade also ruled the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.39 seconds, a bit slower than the Palarong Pambansa record of 12.8 seconds in 1997 by Irene Mojar of Bicol region.
The Western Visayas foursome of Tabiolo, Louielyn Pamatian of Negros, Sharmin Gregorio and Aillen Abular of Iloilo finished the race with a time of 4:28.78 for the silver in the elementary girls' 4 x 400 meter relay team.
Ercel Olga, Ruby Darol, Jenalyn Alba and Phebe Joy Sabanes of Mimaropa took home the gold with a time of 4:25.10 seconds while National Capital Region (4:31.05) settled for the bronze.
In the 4 x 400 meter relay team secondary girls, Western Visayas runners composed of Ma. Jessa Valeriano of Aklan, Erma Rose Gamao of Negros, Rieveneth Jayed Penarubia and Daisyry Juanillo of Iloilo took the bronze with a time of 4:15.09 while the National Capital Region (4:09.87) athletes - Ruby Ann Garcia, Ira Perlita Ynor, Ma. Cristina Mostales and Marimar Amarga, won the gold.
Cordilerra tracksters - Cristina Drio, Dawn Steffany Flores, Meva Cawid and Divina Kitongan (4:14.95) placed second.

    why don't you put up a picture of Allysa Marie Andrade so that her proud fellow Aklanons may know who she is. naga tao eon guid man kamo it importansya bukon pa it completo! and do not forget to mention who her proud parents are. it is the least you can do for them.
