Move-PNP Aklan chapter organized

KALIBO, AKLAN - Thirty (30) strong and principled men of the Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) formed the first local Philippine National Police (PNP) Men Opposed to VAW Everywhere (MOVE) chapter in Western Visayas through the initiative of Senior Supt. Epifanio Bragais, Jr. and Supt. Anthony Maghari, on March 8, International Women’s Day.
The men pledged never to commit Violence against women (VAW), never to condone VAW and to speak out against VAW.

They were organized by the officers of MOVE, Inc. –Aklan chapter, Franklin Quimpo, President, who talked on the Role of Men in the Elimination of VAW, Bullit Parco discussing What is MOVE and Jones Arrieta who talked on violence against women and children and its impact to the community.
Elected officers of the MOVE PNP-Aklan chapter are President: Insp Belshazzar Villanoche; Vice President: SPO4 Martin Guingab; Secretary: PO2 Michael Pontoy; Treasurer: PO2 Ryan Panadero; Auditor – PO3 Marlon Bonifacio. Boards of Trustees are: PO1 Nederden Patani; Supt. Anthony Maghari; PO1 Edmund Lorenzo; and PO3 Julius Nadua.
The officers ensured that they will support the programs and activities of MOVE Phils, Inc. and in Aklan, as part of the Women’s Month Celebration, they will donate blood for the Dugo Para sa Kababayen-an activity of the province.
