Boracay resort slashes rates

The Philippine Star

A beach resort on Boracay Island offers a 45-percent price discount to its guests, despite the peak summer season when other resorts push their rates upward.
Gran Prix Boracay Hideaway, an ultra-cool resort located on a prime beachfront location in the world renowned resort island, offers accommodation rates for as low as P1,600 per person for three days and two nights stay, which is one of the most reasonable resort rates that can be found on the island.
The rate applies to a standard and deluxe rooms, inclusive of plated breakfasts. Gran Prix Boracay is just a few steps away from the four-kilometer White Beach.
“This is our own way of promoting Boracay as a value-for-money destination,” said Jan Vincent Kierulf, who owns the Gran Prix chain of hotels
and suites.
Kierulf added that by making the cost of a Boracay vacation reasonable, more tourists are expected to visit the island, instead of going to other destinations.
“We are doing this to provide visitors a fine yet affordable vacation,” he said.
Gran Prix also operates hotels in Pasay, Cubao, Malate, Tarlac and Cebu. The hotel chain is noted for its easy-on-the-pocket pricing and cozy ambiance.
Gran Prix Boracay has 11 well-appointed rooms with minimalist designs ideal for couples, families or small groups.
