Apol: Good governance and full transparency

KALIBO, Aklan – “Good governance and full transparency.”
This is how youthful candidate Apolonio ‘Apol’ Zaraspe II described the town’s next chief executive and his government would be to acquire the full support and confidence of the people.
Zaraspe told newsmen in a press conference that the next leader should have the required competence, experience in governance, proven track record and integrity to effectively exercise his power for the betterment of his constituency.
When asked to comment on his priorities in the town as one of the mayoral aspirants, he said he is pushing for the construction of Kalibo community hospital to provide enough medicines and equipments for the poor and the rehabilitation of roads in the barangays.
Zaraspe is challenging Tibyog Akean stalwart and incumbent Raymar Rebaldo and former vice mayor William Lachica for mayor.
He filed his certificate of candidacy on Wednesday morning along with Blas Carrillo for vice mayor and Ricky Magno, Pacifico Villanueva, Androline Sualog and Hilario Legaspi for councilors.
Rebaldo also filed his certificate of candidacy after the blessing of Tibyog it Akean local headquarters and motorcade with three-termer councilor Ariel Fernandez for vice mayor at the provincial Commission on Elections (Comelec).
