The holiday festivities in Kalibo, Aklan will officially unwrap with the lighting of 60-foot tall Christmas tree on December 1.

‘Iwag it Kalibonhon’ promises a ‘Christmas wonderland treat’ for locals and visitors throughout the holiday season with the lighting of tree-filled Kalibo Pastrana Park.

“Be part of the annual community event. Don’t miss this celebration and holiday magic with the Christmas tree lighting. Let’s enjoy the festive evening with cheer and entertainment,” Kalibo mayor William Lachica said in his invitation to Aklanons and visitors.

The giant Christmas tree inside the Kalibo Pastrana Park is adorned by colourful lanterns and multi-colored lights. Trees around the park are also decorated with sparkling lights.

Former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, former Special assistant to the President Bong Go and former political adviser Francis Tolentino are invited to join Lachica in the tree lighting finale with fireworks.

Beginning at 5 p.m. on December 1, the visitors get the chance to enjoy the attractions at the historic park with musical performances and holiday tunes from local singers and carolers.
