A police buy-bust
operation in Kalibo, Aklan netted a drug personality on August 13.

Jhonex Ceniza Supranes,
Jr. was arrested along Veterans Avenue in Barangay Poblacion for selling two
sachets of suspected shabu worth P4,000 to a poseur buyer at around 9:30 p.m.
The 25-year old Supranes, native
of Barangay Igang in Pototan, Iloilo and temporary residing in Luis Barrios
Street in Kalibo, was riding a
motorcycle when operatives collared him.
“Iniutusan lang ako na
magdeliver ng shabu at binibigyan ako ng pera. Hindi ako tokhang surrenderee,”
the suspect said.
The suspect also yielded a
mobile phone containing text messages of illegal drug transactions during the
body search by operatives of Aklan Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Provincial Intelligence Branch, Aklan Police Provincial Mobile Force Company and Kalibo municipal police
station.
Chief Inspector Frensy
Andrade, head of Aklan PDEU, said the suspect was under surveillance for two
weeks before the sting operation.
”Sa mga operasyon namin sa
Boracay, nalaman naming na nagtitinda din siya ng druga sa Boracay at Kalibo, mga buyer niya
ng druga mga kilala niya at mga barkada,” he added.
Supranes is facing charges
for violations of Section 5 for illegal selling of drugs under Republic Act No.
9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
