Three out of 17 police chiefs
in the province of Aklan were relieved by the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6,
citing ‘unsatisfactory’ performance in their campaign against drug
personalities.

Senior Superintendent Lope Manlapaz confirmed the relief order of PRO-6 for the
police chiefs of Altavas, Numancia and
Lezo police stations.
The police chiefs relieved
were either reassigned to other towns or at Aklan Police Provincial Office
(APPO).
The latest rigodon involved Senior Inspector Fidel Gentalian from Balete
police station, who assumed the post of Chief inspector Ariel Naral of
Altavas municipal station.
Gentalian was replaced by Senior Inspector Jose Nilo Murallo from Lezo
police station. Naral was assigned at Aklan Provincial Public Safety
Company.
Senior Inspector Alfonso Manoba, chief of Malinao, will serve in his
concurrent capacity as Lezo acting chief.
Numancia will be headed by Senior Inspector Herminiano Abines, who
used to be deputy chief of Malay PNP, after Senior Inspector Geo Colibao was transferred to National Capital Region.
Two weeks ago, Colibao also
replaced Senior Inspector Keenan Ruiz as Numancia police chief.
No police chiefs were relieved
in Balete, Banga, Kalibo, New Washington, Libacao, Batan, Makato, Tangalan, Malinao,
Madalag, Ibajay, Nabas, Malay and Buruanga.
