A
trigger-happy resident of Barangay Pawa in Nabas, Aklan was arrested after guns
and ammunitions were found inside his house on June 2.

Seized
during the raid on Friday morning were a 12-gauge homemade shotgun (sumpak), .45
caliber pistol, two steel magazines, 11 ammunitions of .45 caliber pistol,
camouflage inside holster and a brown tactical sling bag.
The
44-year old Eduardo Francisco alias Edwin admitted he owned the confiscated
weapons and ammunitions, according to Senior Inspector Benjo Clariti, chief of
Nabas police station.
The
search warrant EJ-02-17 was issued by Executive Judge Bienvenido Barrios, Jr.
of Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Kalibo, Aklan on June 1, 2017.
Clariti
said they were accompanied by personnel of Aklan Provincial Public Safety
Company in the implementation of search warrant.
The
police chief added the suspect was accused by his neighbors for frequent indiscriminate
firing and for brandishing his handgun in Barangay Pawa.
Pawa
is popular to nature lovers for its windmill, also known as Pawa Windmill.
Francisco
is also under investigation for possible involvement in the previous shooting
incidents in the town of Nabas.
The
suspect is facing charges for violations of Republic Act No. 10591 or the
Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulations Act before the Aklan Provincial Prosecutor's Office on Monday.
