Boracay’s White Beach in Top 25 world’s best beaches – TripAdvisor

Boracay Island’s White Beach was ranked No. 24 among the Top 25 beaches in the world, according to travel website TripAdvisor in its 2017 Travelers’ Choice awards.

The island beach destination of Boracay and Ngapali Beach in Myanmar (25th-ranked) were the two beaches in South East Asia and Asia included in the list of world’s best beaches this year.

TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, described the long-stretch of White Beach “calm, warm waters, gently sloping sand...very relaxing, possibly the most beautiful beach in Asia.”

Baia do Sancho of Fernando de Noronha, Brazil was the leader in TripAdvisor’s best beaches. The No. 2 was Grace Gray of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos while Eagle Beach in Aruba was ranked No. 3.

The best beaches in the Top 10 were Playa Paraiso in Cayo Largo, Cuba (4th), Siesta Beach in Siesta Key, Florida (5th), La Concha Beach in San Sebastian-Donostia, Spain (6th), Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres (7th), Radhanagar Beach in Havelock Island, Andaman and Nicobar Islands (8th), Elafonissi Beach in Florida (9th) and Galapagos Beach at Tortuga Bay in Puerto Ayora in Ecuador (10th).

Other award-winning beaches were Anse Lazio in Praslin Island, Seychelles (11th), Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman (12th), Flamenco Beach in Culebra, Puerto Rico (13th), Bavaro Beach in Punta Cuna, Dominican Republic (14th) and Seven Mile Beach in Negril, Jamaica (15th).

Anakena Beach in Easter Island, Chile came in No. 16 while Whitehaven Beach in Whitsunday Islands at No. 17; La Cote des Basques in Biarritz, France (18th); Fig Tree Bay in Protaras, Cyprus (19th); West Bay Beach in Honduras (20th); Camp’s Bay Beach in South Africa (21st); Praia de Santa Maria in Cape Verde (22nd) and Playa Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica (23rd).

The winning beaches were selected based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews on TripAdvisor last year.
