Aklan cops respond to crime calls in 4.75 minutes

Police stations of Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) ranked third in the region with average response time of 4.75 minutes in 400 crime calls received for the month of June. 

Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) had the fastest average response time among the police units with 78 crime calls received that were responded in 2.56 minutes from June 1 to 30, way below the 5 minutes response time registered on April.

Data from the latest operational accomplishment report of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 showed the average response time of 5.69 minutes for 3,721 crime calls of police units in Western Visayas for the month of June is slower compared to the registered response time of 5.40 minutes in the month of January this year. 

Libacao police station were able to reach crime scenes in 2.68 minutes in three calls; Numancia police station in 2.99 minutes in 52 calls; Malay, 3.01 minutes in 8 calls; Madalag, 3.60 in five calls and Tangalan, 4 minutes in one call.

Ibajay police station personnel also responded in 4.05 minutes in 11 calls; Banga police station, 4.23 minutes in 12 calls; New Washington police station, 4.25 minutes in 28 calls; Buruanga police station, 4.33 minutes in three calls and Lezo police station, 4.47 minutes in five calls. 

Police stations in Aklan above the five-minute response time were Kalibo, 5.12 minutes in 123 calls received; Malinao, 5.14 minutes in 7 calls; Balete,  5.45 minutes in 11 calls; Altavas, 5.75 minutes in four calls; Makato, 6.80 minutes in 10 calls; Nabas, 9.04 minutes in 24 calls and Batan, 13.67 minutes in 15 calls.

In other police offices, Bacolod City Police Office had the fastest actual response time in 3.39 minutes of the 608 calls followed by Iloilo City Police Office in 4.53 minutes in 368 calls.

Capiz Police Provincial Office also responded in 5.53 minutes in 253 calls while Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, 5.54 minutes in 1,272 calls. 

Guimaras Police Provincial Office had 6.1 minutes in 49 calls received; Antique Police Provincial Office in 6.81 minutes in 119 crime calls, Regional Public Safety Company in 6.9 minutes for eight calls and police stations from Iloilo Police Provincial Office in 9.18 minutes in 644 calls.
