Reshuffle in Aklan PNP

Two police station chiefs were relieved from their posts in the latest reshuffle of Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO).

The chiefs of police of Kalibo and Tangalan were among the police chiefs affected by the revamp.

Acting Aklan police director Senior Superintendent Iver Apellido ordered the relief of Superintendent Pedro Enriquez and Senior Inspector Benjo Clarite effective July 15.

Superintendent Pablito Asmod, Jr.  took the post of Enriquez as officer-in-charge of Kalibo police station. 

Asmod was the chief of Aklan Provincial Public Safety Company prior to his new assignment while Enriquez was appointed as officer-in-charge of Kalibo police station on May 9, 2014 and will remain as APPO chief of operations.  

Chief Inspector Arnolito Laguerta has replaced Clarite as officer-in-charge of Tangalan police station. In turn, Clarite replaced Laguerta as the new deputy of Aklan Provincial Public Safety Company. 

Apellido also ordered the reassignment of six police non-commissioned officers of Kalibo police station to Buruanga, Lezo, Malinao, Malay, Madalag and Libacao police stations.

They were Senior Police Officer 4 Rommel Morato to Malay, Senior Police Officer I Julius Barrientos to Libacao, Police Officer 3 Claire Catuiran to Malinao, Police Officer 3 Marilyn Rello to Madalag, Police Officer 2 Neil Alejandro to Buruanga and Police Officer I Jonalyn Apolinario to Lezo police station. 

Senior Police Officer 4 Jonel Bolivar of Malay police station was also reassigned to New Washington police station. Two other police officers were reassigned to Kalibo and Malay police stations. 

Meanwhile, Enriquez thanked the tri-media, stakeholders, the local government led by Kalibo mayor William Lachica and Kalibo PNP personnel for their support during his stint as Kalibo police chief.


During the leadership of Enriquez, the Kalibo police station retained the regional Most Citizen-Friendly (MCF) police station award in the municipal category in 2014, strengthened partnership with stakeholders in the community, captured a number of most wanted persons in different police operations and ensured the peaceful and orderly celebration of Kalibo Ati-Atihan festival this year.
