Best agri practices highlight agri-link trade show in Aklan

Farmer groups and agricultural experts will converge for the first-ever Aklan’s Agri-link trade show. 

Agri-link is an innovative agricultural trade event that is held in conjunction with the 59th Aklan anniversary this April.

Emmanuel Soviet Russia dela Cruz, who chairs the Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan committee on agriculture, said they will showcase the best agricultural practices and will offer free seminars and lectures on urban and container gardening, bonsai making and livestock production. 

“We envisioned this agri-link parang showcase it proven farm practices and techniques and ma-display mga agricultural equipment and machineries and may mga livestock, pato, gansa, kanding, native baboy, organic products as well,” Dela Cruz said. 

The agri-link is targeted to start on April 22 until April 26 at Goding Ramos Park in Kalibo, Aklan. 

Aklan is celebrating its 59th anniversary when President Ramon Magsaysay signed into law Republic Act No. 1414 on April 25, 1956, separating Aklan from the province of Capiz.

The agri-trade show will involve the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) and private partners to highlight the promotion of best practices in agriculture.

Agri-experts will also share free lectures and seminars for participants from agribusiness sector and farmer groups’ on technical and mechanical expertise. 

The agri-link is also a good opportunity for them to find out solutions to ensure food sufficiency and security and to increase farmers’ incomes and agricultural productivity. 

Dela Cruz said at least six Manila and three local exhibitors confirmed to join the agri-link.
