A woman was arrested by
authorities after possessing a suspected shabu during her visit in the Bureau
of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Barangay Nalook, Kalibo, Aklan.
Jacquelyn Nabor, 34, of
Barangay Poblacion, Madalag, Aklan, who tried to smuggle in BJMP-Aklan last week a sachet of
suspected shabu hidden inside her bra area, is facing charges for violations of
Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs of 2002.

4 Eduardo Benares said the female duty searcher noticed a suspected transparent
plastic with crystalline substance sealed by a chewing gum in the bra area of
Nabor.
"Gin insert niya sa
padding of her bra ang shabu, sa left portion na nakita ng duty searcher during
the strip search,” he said.
The incident happened
during the routine search of visitors last March 20. Nabor was immediately
taken into custody.
“Mga 2 p.m. na siya
nadakpan pagbisita niya sa BJMP last Thursday. Didto na nabal-an na me ara siya
nga ginatago,” the jail warden added.
Nabor was scheduled to
visit her boyfriend Judy Padalhin, who was also committed to BJMP Aklan on January 17 for
illicit drug activities.
“Na-curious ako why me
bubble gum, pero hambae niya na gahinukas ang padding sa ana nga bra,” the
female duty searcher said.
The jail visitor regularly
visits inmate Padalhin every week, she added.
Benares, who was assigned
on November 5 last year as jail warden, said he will not tolerate illegal drug
activities in BJMP-Aklan.
