PCSO turns over ambulance to Boracay rescue volunteers

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) donated a brand new ambulance to Boracay Fire Rescue Ambulance Volunteer (BFRAV)-Boracay Action Group (BAG).

PCSO Ambulance Donation Program extended its generosity to its partners from Boracay Island last week. 

BAG is a multi-sectoral organization formed for disaster management and response in Boracay Island. The group has an office in Barangay Balabag. 

After the signing, Commodore Leonard Tirol received the symbolic key of the new ambulance in behalf of ambulance beneficiary BFRAV-BAG from agency chairman Margarita Juico.

The simple ceremony was held at the PCSO office at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.

The turn-over of ambulance was also witnessed by Aklan Provincial Tourism Council co-chairman Vicky Ramos-Antonino and PCSO lawyer Reena Yason.

Tirol, also the BAG consultant and BFRAV founder, was assisted by Emergency Medical Technician Hugh Tzaddie Isagan and Fire Volunteer Arnel Cenarosa during the turn-over. 

Meanwhile, the province of Aklan received P5.321 million assistance from PCSO through its general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II for the affected Typhoon Yolanda victims.

Rojas personally turned over the donation to Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores and Aklan Rep. Teodorico Haresco, Jr. at the Provincial Guest House on March 22. 

PCSO is among the national agencies involved in relief efforts, addressing the urgent needs of Typhoon Yolanda victims.
