There
were compelling stories of numberless miracles for some devotees of Senor Sto.
Nino.
A
volunteer of festival organizer Kalibo Sto. Nino Ati-Atihan Foundation, Inc.
(Kasafi) narrated how he received the miracles from Senor Sto. Nino.
Loreto
Conanan of Ibajay, Aklan got sick, ten years ago, and was advised by his doctor in Iloilo City for
an urgent cranial brain operation.
Short
of finances, Loreto was grateful when a foundation helped him financially for
his operation.
And
without the assurance that he could go back to his normal life, he prayed and
entrusted everything to Senor Santo Nino that the surgery will have no risk of
complications.
He
said “major surgery always has the risk of complications and in some cases comatose,
paralysis or blindness.”
After
a 21-hour stayed in intensive care unit, Loreto was transferred to a private
room and was told that “he have no problems – physically or intellectually, at
all.”
“Thank
God and thank you Senor Sto. Nino,” were the only words he said upon learning
the good news.
Arlyn,
his supportive wife and a Kasafi volunteer, told him that the night before his medical check-up, she
dreamt of a garden full of roses and a Senor Santo Nino sitting in a bench. A brown
butterfly was also flying around in the garden.
“We
realized He has a message of miracle even before my operation,” Loreto said.
Loreto
is keen on keeping a promise for Senor Santo Nino after surviving a
life-threatening ordeal.
They
have kept their promises of devotion and prayers by offering flowers,
especially red roses, and by dancing to worship Senor Sto. Nino every year for
the healing and graces they received from Him.
By
the way, their daughter Lorraine also recovered from airborne bacterial
meningitis when she was two years old. She was confined a month before his
father Loreto was hospitalized for brain surgery.
Lorraine also survived with prayers from Senor Sto. Nino.
