Querol cites cops and BPAT for exceptional performance

Police Regional Office 6 held its
traditional Monday flag raising with awarding ceremony last July 9 at Camp Martin Teofilo B Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City.
PRO 6 director, Police Chief
Superintendent Cipriano E Querol Jr, assisted by the Deputy Regional
Director for Administration, Police Superintendent Manuel B Felix, and
Deputy Regional Director for Operations and Acting Chief Regional
Directorial Staff, Police Senior Superintendent Wesley A Barayuga,
awarded medals to ten (10) deserving PNP personnel of this region.
Medalya ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal)
were awarded to PINSP ANTONIO P NAVARRA, SPO4 Mayulito P Iremedio, SPO3
Elmer I Villanueva, PO1 Fidelino G Ricablanca Jr and PO1 Noriel Z
Mosquera, all members of Libacao Municipal Police Station, Aklan
Provincial Police Office.
This is in connection with the checkpoint
operation at Poblacion, Libacao, Aklan last June 29 which resulted to
the successful arrest of Aguinaldo Idala y Arias for violation of PD
1866 as amended by RA 8294 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and
Ammunitions.)
Likewise, the said operatives recovered
one (1) caliber .45 pistol, Remington with magazine loaded with six (6)
live ammunitions and one (1) spare magazine loaded with seven (7) live
ammunitions.
Meanwhile, three (3) PNP personnel from
Iloilo City Police Station 4, Iloilo City Police Office were also
awarded Medalya ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal) for the successful
arrest of Jeffrey Salido y Galodera, listed as Number 18 Most Wanted
Person in Molo District last June 26 at Zone 1, Brgy Calumpang, Molo,
Iloilo City.
The awardees were SPO1 Lario A Esposo, PO2 Glenn A Soliman and PO2 Ryan S Salay.
The said operative’s recovered one (1)
small heat sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance
suspected to be shabu from the suspect.
Further, a Certificate of Appreciation was
given to Rodolfo P Valiente, Barangay Tanod/ BPAT member, Zone 1, Brgy
Calumpang, Molo, Iloilo City, for his valuable participation to the
successful arrest of Salido.
Moreover, PO1 Ryan A Lomugdang, member of
the Regional Public Safety Battalion 6 and augmented to Bacolod City
Police Office was awarded Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting (PNP Wounded
Medal) for having been wounded in action during the arrest of Edjel
Reteban y Castillo and Joemarie Alberto y Tamayo, both members of “Dark
Demon Society Clan” last July 01 at Capitol Lagoon, Locsin Street,
Bacolod City.
The said group composed of five (5) males
and seven (7) females, who were under the influence of intoxicating
liquor assaulted Lomugdang and his civilian companion Mitchelle
Santillan. As a consequence thereof, Lomugdang sustained stab wounds on
his left back arm. In spite of being wounded, said police officer was
still able to arrest one of the suspects.
The action of PO1 Lomugdang is
a concrete manifestation of courage and dedication to service by the
uniformed personnel of Police Regional Office 6.
