ASU produces new vets, agriculturists

KALIBO, Aklan – The School of Veterinary Medicine of Aklan State University (ASU) has again produced 14 new veterinarians.


Its College of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences also produced seven new agriculturists.

The university’s passing rate in the recent licensure examination for veterinarians was 36.84 percent – higher than the national passing percentage of 36.04.

As announced by the Professional Regulation Commission, the graduates of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine who successfully passed the Veterinarian Licensure Examination given by the Board of Veterinary Medicine from August 1-3, 2011 were the following: Dr. Mary Rose C. Bausing, Dr. Rocel S. Cantilla, Dr. Wendel R. Maglantay, Dr. Benhur M. Nepomuceno, Dr. Mary Grace T. Oquendo, Dr. Jason J. Rasco, Dr. Eugene Matthew S. Reyes, Dr. Kimberly C. Rillo, Dr. Rachel I. Rodillas, Dr. Maevelle B. Sargado, Dr. Mary O R. Traje, Dr. Hansel G. Tizon, Dr. Juna Mae O. Turang and Dr. Pearl Joy Vidal.


Meanwhile, in the three-day Agriculturists Licensure Examination given by the Board of Agriculture last July 2011, ASU’s College of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences produced eight new agriculturists. They were Dinabeth J. Onayan, John Raymar R. Perez, Galileo E. Nacionales, Judy A. Gonzales, Liela A. Rosbero, Emmanuel G. Masola and Reynold O. Delgado.
