Pleasure extended in BoracaySummer is long over and with the wet season now very much apparent; one cannot be faulted to sunny-up by going through his or her cache of last summer's photos. And it won't come as a surprise if Boracay's famed stretch of powdery-white sandy beach and equally long stretch of watering holes figured a lot in the background.
As always, last summer saw thousands troop to Boracay, so it isn't unusual for the country's official summer party place to host parties for its visitors night after night, after night.
One remarkable event on the island was aptly held at Summer Place at Station 2 when the iconic Philip Morris 100's threw a three-night drink-what-you-want-all-you-can bash in their oh-so stylishly constructed smoking lounge, replete with hammocks, two white, modernly interpreted cabanas and low table and futon sets thoughtfully positioned inside the lounge.
To create the perfect summer beach party, Philip Morris 100's brought in DJ Leandro Zayco with Bacolod's famed Patikeros drumbeaters and Manila's top spinmaster DJ Travis who dished out their hypnotic mix of tribal beats and club-chic dance music that ensured three full-packed nights of extended pleasure.
Seen throwing their cares to the wind at the Philip Morris 100's smoking lounge were Dabawenyos fun set led by Candy Ang, Teng de Casto and Andy Lutz. Also present were PMFTC's Consumer Engagement Supervisor for Visayas and Mindanao and fellow Davaoena Patricia Joven, together with Philip Morris Brand Manager Melanie Bernardo, Consumer Engagement Specialists for Events Chai Suico and Joyce Manas and, PMFTC's Sales Director Harry Tan.
If you were there it would surely be a three-night summer you would never forget. One wonders, what would Philip Morris 100's do in Boracay next summer?
