BORACAY - A suspected drug pusher was arrested by the Provincial Intelligence Special Operations Group (PISOG) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Team in a drug-bust operation on Thursday morning.

Police authorities led by Inspector Christian Burgos nabbed 32-year old Allan Chavez Tekiko of Caloocan City and residing at Barangay Balabag of this island.

The operation led to the seizure of five transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, cellphone and P3,150 cash including the marked money.

After a long surveillance of Tekiko's activities, the arrest was made after the suspect agreed to sell the suspected shabu to a policeman, who posed as buyer, at 12:45 on Thursday morning at the front beach.

Senior Superintendent Cornelio Defensor, Aklan police provincial director said, said he lauded the buy-bust operation of the highly prohibited drugs leading to the arrest of Tekiko.

The suspect is facing criminal charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002.
