2011 Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan: Braun bags Best in Talent
BY BOY RYAN B. ZABALKALIBO, Aklan - As early favorite of the 2011 Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan, Caren Retamar Braun bested 11 other lovely contestants during the talent competition held on Thursday night at the Kalibo Pastrana Park.
Braun earlier won the Best in Swimsuit award in a pre-pageant event at the Regency Lagoon Boracay Resort last week.
The night finale of the Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan will be held in Gov. Augusto B. Legaspi Sports Complex on January 5, 2011.
Kalibo Sto. Nino Ati-Atihan Foundation, Inc. (Kasafi) chairman Albert Menez said the beautiful contestants that will compete in the prestigious and coveted title Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan becomes an Ambassadress of Goodwill and Tourism.
After making waves in the swimsuit event, the 17-year old Braun impressed the panel of five judges and the crowd with her performance.

Menez said, as early as now, all beauties are hoping to make it among the top 3 and bring home the crown in the upcoming pageant and coronation night.
Other 11 contestants to show off their beauty on January 5, 2011 are Mary Vhic Baltazar Mandal, Celeste Melgar Nepomuceno, Charmaine Ling Polomata Chua, Janine Magbiro Ilio, Frendisol Catherine Villanueva Yco, Jona Ili Sweett, Sheena Mae Bagnate Zafra, Hannah Mae Renacido Torre, Mae Ann Mariano Manipud, Camille Alyssa de Leon and Jecca Rosales Tenaja.
The talent competition was graced by Vice Governor Gabrielle Calizo-Quimpo, Kalibo mayor William Lachica, Kalibo vice mayor Madeleine Regalado and hosted by Ralf Baniqued.
