Makato mayor elected as LMP Aklan president

KALIBO, Aklan - As expected, the three-termer mayor of Makato, Aklan is the newly elected president of the 17-strong League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-Aklan.
In an election held at Caffe Latte yesterday, Ramon 'Jun' Legaspi Jr. ran unopposed for president.
New Washington mayor Edgar Peralta was also elected Executive Vice President while Batan mayor Delfina Ramos is the vice president for the East and Ibajay mayor Ma. Lourdes Miraflores is the vice president for the West.
Other elected chiefs executive are Malinao mayor Wilbert Ariel Igoy for secretary, Tangalan mayor Gene Fuentes for treasurer, Lezo mayor Victor Fernandez as assistant secretary-treasurer, Nabas mayor Romeo Dalisay as auditor and Malay mayor John Yap as public relations officer.
The board of directors are Kalibo mayor William Lachica, Libacao mayor Charito Navarosa, Altavas mayor Denny Refol, Madalag mayor Rex Gubatina, Adolfo Iligan of Numancia, Buruanga mayor Quezon Labindao, Banga mayor Antonio Maming, Sr. and Balete mayor Teodoro Calizo, Jr.
Legaspi will assumed the post held by former Kalibo mayor and now Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Raymar Rebaldo, also the LMP Island Cluster President for Visayas.
