Boracay rooms with a view
BY JULIUS P. VICENTE

The Alta Vista de Boracay is one of the few hotels in Boracay that offers a scenic view of the island and the sea.
It’s obvious that hordes of tourists flock to Boracay to revel and experience the island’s famous white sand beach. There’s a new place on this island, however, where tourists are bound to have a unique Boracay experience. The place happens to be a new hotel dubbed Alta Vista De Boracay.
The hotel is situated on the island’s hilly terrain, where the view of the sea is expansive. Most of the beachfront hotels in Boracay don’t offer any scenic views of the sea or the island, though the bawdy beach parties and concerts are easily accessible. The scene in Alta Vista De Boracay is more laid-back. It offers more privacy and it’s a place to escape from the madding crowd.
Alta Vista De Boracay’s general manager Robert Laygo says the hotel is ideal for tourists who wish to seek refuge “in this unparalleled and luxurious haven.” Yet residents and guests can also explore the club scene unique to White Beach, as Alta Vista is also located 15 minutes away from this infamous hip destination.
Alta Vista is the only prime real estate development found in this hidden side of the island that offers condominium units located across four hectares of prime land.
With 17 Southeast Asian-inspired buildings comprised of 500 rooms, featuring studio and loft suites, ensconced atop a secure hillside setting, one can enjoy a private, unhampered view of the surrounding ocean and fairways. Combined with casual elegance and highly personalized service, guests and residents will experience first-class comfort while unwinding, shares Laygo.
Apart from this, the development offers private access to the serene Puka Beach. Located in the northern part of the island, Puka Beach is famous for the puka shells that are generously found on the shore, as well as the surroundings that provide the perfect venue for reflection or bonding with friends and loved ones.
The fresh sea breeze and unhurried pace make life on this side of Boracay a dream one can indulge in everyday. To say you know Boracay doesn’t necessarily mean it’s enough to have joined the island’s revelry –apart from this facet is the island’s must-feel tranquil tropical life. Only in Alta Vista can one claim to have enjoyed the complete Boracay experience.

  1. The problem with Alta Vista is that there is no infrastructure around the northern part of the island. There are no restaurants and if you want to go to D Mall you have to crowd into a small shuttle van for transportation. If you want to sat out late on the main part of the island you have to take a long expensive tryke ride back to the hotel. As a "time share" development Alta Vista does not have any kitchette type amneries in the rooms. "Go to Alta Vista and be at the mercy of the isolation. Travelers beware!"
